Dr. Vinay Sabharwal is one of the pioneers of Laparoscopic and General Surgery. With a humble beginning in 1984, he has been instrumental in initiating Minimal Invasive Surgeries in India.

Having graduated from Srinagar Medical College in Kashmir and completed his post graduation MS from India’s most prestigious and top ranked institute Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGI), Chandigarh he later on took laparoscopic training from internationally acclaimed Mt. Elizabeth Hospital. He went on to work under Dr. Hashimoto in Japan as part of his training. He has been trained under the renowned Minimal Invasive Bariatric Surgeon Dr. Kelvin Higa in United States of America.

Dr. Vinay Sabharwal has performed many successful Laparoscopic Surgeries in his 47 years of experience. Practicing General and Laparoscopic Surgery at Apollo Spectra Hospital and Jeewan Mala Hospital he has successfully performed more than 10,000 Laparoscopic surgeries in the last decade.

Recently in 2017, he was appointed Surgeon to the President of India Shri. Pranabh Mukherjee.
